Apple 'Doughnuts'

Ingredients

  • 15 grams soft cheese (cheese spread)
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 3 crunchy apples
  • Coloured sprinkles to decorate. 

Method

  1. Mix soft cheese and honey together and set aside.
  2. Peel apples (optional), then slice each through the core into 5 or 6 rings - about 1 cm thick.
  3. Use an apple corer or small round biscuit cutter to stamp out a circle from the middle of each slice, removing the core and creating 'doughnut' shapes.
  4. Pat the slices dry using paper towel - they should be as dry as possible to help the toppings stick.
  5. Spread the topping over the slices, decorate with sprinkles and serve!
